How correr is conjugated
Correr is fully regular and conjugates like comer: corro, corres, corre, corremos, corréis, corren; preterite corrí, corriste, corrió, corrimos, corristeis, corrieron. The double rr belongs to the stem and stays in every form; in the future and conditional it is followed by the r of the infinitive: correré, correría. The nosotros forms differ by tense: corremos (present), corrimos (preterite).
Conjugated the same way: comer, beber, vender, recorrer.
Common mistakes with correr
coro, cores→corro, corres
The stem has a double rr, a strong trill, in every form. With a single r the word changes: coro is "choir".
Antes correría todos los días.→Antes corría todos los días.
Corría is the imperfect ("I used to run"); correría is the conditional ("I would run"). One extra syllable changes the tense.
Estoy correndo.→Estoy corriendo.
The gerund ending for -er and -ir verbs is -iendo, not -endo: corriendo, comiendo, viviendo.
When to use correr
Salir a correr is "to go for a run". Correr is also said of things that flow or pass quickly: el agua corre, el tiempo corre.
